The Forest Of Hands and Teeth

In Mary’s world there are simple truths. The Sisterhood always knows best. The Guardians will protect and serve. The Unconsecrated will never relent. And you must always mind the fence that surrounds the village; the fence that protects the village from the Forest of Hands and Teeth. But, slowly, Mary’s truths are failing her. She’s learning things she never wanted to know about the Sisterhood and its secrets, and the Guardians and their power, and about the Unconsecrated and their relentlessness. When the fence is breached and her world is thrown into chaos, she must choose between her village and her future—between the one she loves and the one who loves her. And she must face the truth about the Forest of Hands and Teeth. Could there be life outside a world surrounded in so much death?

This book was very interesting yet boring at times. Ryan knew how to make the ‘zombies’ more 21st century, for we all know that reading a book on the traditional zombies are really.. corny? But oh, let me correct my term, the ‘uncensored’. To me this book was like i said before very intriguing but at some points it seemed as if the author was trying to prolong the inevitable , lets not talk about Mary, oh my Mary. She reminds me so much of Isabella Swan, so stupid and naive ! I mean come on ! Did she really have to be that retarded, her so long ‘dream’ really was starting to get annoying. Though one thing i really did like about this book was how the author discreetly pointed out how two faced Christians can be. HEY HEY i am a Christian and all but some of us i admit can be completely fake and horrible. Let me get into the real review and you shall understand my judgement..hopefully.

This books seems to have taken place in the future, and it a plague going around or in other words ‘zombies’s poison’ was being transmitted with each bite then slowly defacing the entire human race. Mary the main character lives in a protected society which is being governed by the sisterhood. Same as how it was in the early 15th century.. the pope/church was the government. When Mary looses all her close love ones she then realizes how the horrible secrets of the sisterhoods and with this not being scary enough, she uses this as another boost for her curiosity to get the better of her. Then.. ( as predicted i may add) when her village is attacked by the uncensored the story then begins to unfold of Mary trying to find her way to her ‘dream’ (the ocean) and the sacrifices and battles she has to go through.

This book was to predictable.. it’s not very enjoyable, but i’d give it 3 out of 5 stars.
